January Project – Day Twenty Two

We had quite a quiet day today so I opted for a posed photo.  I took this same picture about nearly 2 years ago.  Its amazing how the tiny little day to day changes add up.

January Project – Day Twenty One

Family games are a relatively new thing to us.  Until a couple of months ago some people were such terrible losers that it was just impossible to play.  There is still a fair amount of grumping when the outcome isn’t in their favour but for the most part we can deal with it.  This is one of our favourites at the moment.  Who doesn’t love a game of top trumps?

January Project – Day Nineteen

When I started this it was really just to make January seem a little less depressing but it has become so much more.  I love this picture of Kara.  She had just bumped her head and  Ella brought her bingbong to cuddle while she had a little cry.  Her cheeks were still tearstained and the last thing she wanted was for me to poke the camera in her face.  But this is our life!  Since Kara can fall over standing still, tears are a pretty common occurrence in our house.  And these are the things I want to remember.  The little moments of  our life that are real, not plastic smiles for the camera.  Is the US there is far more appreciation of lifestyle photography than in Scotland, and I think people here are missing out.

January Project – Day Eighteen

Every so often I catch a glimpse of the young woman she will be before I know it.  I can’t believe she is going to be 10 this year!!
