Both my girls have a couple of minor health problems which means we have a lot of doctors appointments to attend.  Unfortunately the children’s hospital is in a residential area in town with no parking.  It means you need to double the time you think it is going to take you to get there to allow plenty of time to drive around looking for a parking space.  I actually quite like the one-on-one time it gives me with whichever girl it is and I try to resist their pleas to use it to play pokemon/snapchat and make them talk to me.  Sometimes it just isn’t worth the battle though and it is such fun watching them try on bunny ears.

When I was little I was a brownie (only briefly).  I remember being so excited to wear my sister’s hand me down uniform and have my little box with a 10p to phone home, a plaster and a safety pin.   So while my husband was doing relatively cool stuff in cubs, I was learning how to clean the brown owl’s sink (true story!!).  I’m so glad that they have opened cubs up to girls, it has been a great experience for Ella.  She has done a whole host of stuff we would never have thought of doing at home and I really believe it has made her a bit more independent.

Bedtime.  And maybe bedtime for this project too.  I know a January project really shouldn’t still be going in February but surely if I change the name I can get away with it?  Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Is it nearly the weekend yet? It’s only Monday? I demand a recount.
